Very small, more bone that meat. They are really the catwalk model of the game bird world in my opinion.

Size zero debate anyone?

I had a slightly damaged partridge in the kitchen a few weeks ago. didn't make it through the night.

Oh I'm quite disappointed.

I thought this would be a thread about Partridges the Deli/Grocery store in Duke of York Sq, Chelsea.

JustAnother/ FlightAttendant - Oh thats what I hoped as well. A lovely lovely shop!

One Christmas when me and DW were young free and childless went mad and ordered all our food from Partridges. We just spent one glorious lovely week together scoffing and drinking at fabulous expense with no one visiting. Nicest Christmas we ever had.

Christmas thread anyone?

FlightAttendant · 09/10/2009 07:21

Awww that sounds lovely. I remember those days I wish I was still allowed a motorbike. Thatw as the most fun.

Why does no one tell you that once you have children you can't do this stuff any more? Actually I am sure they did...

Hooray! I am delighted. Obviously a distant memory now, but DH (before he was DH) and I used to go every weekend . We were reckless with our cash then.

My highlights were always the fabulous old biddies in their furs and fancy hats jumping the queue and saying things like "young lady where are nice biscuits?".

And the ham. Oh the ham!
