What is the general feel of ppl smoking around children thse days? I dont mean in confined areas like the house but what abt outside eg, walking down the street or in the park? Just curious..

what sweetkitty said - our house was just the same. I absolutely can't stand the smell now, can smell it a mile away.

As for smoking in the park, I'm afraid I have shooed away a guy smoking an effing cigar in the swing park.

I would be more than happy if the things were banned tomorrow, like other harmful drugs have been.

i hate it - it stinks and i hate seeing kids in cars with the windows up to keep them warm while the adult puffs away. I am not a smoker and each to there own - my mum smoked since she was 14 and at 49 had a massive stroke that left her who was a healthy home care assistant now very disabled and immobile as a result wit her work colleagues now being her home carer. That soryy year back in 1999 she didnt make my wedding abroad as planned due to her ill health and hasnt been able to do lots with her grandchildren as she would be able to able bodied - the docs are as certain as anything it was down to her smoking habit but she still smokes . DOes it make me angry? - like feck it does! rant over

I used to love smoking, but I gave up each time I was pg only to slip back into the habit after they were born, however I haven't gone back to it this time and dd4 is nearly 1. Dp still has the occasional roll up in the kitchen standing in the back door, I miss it sometimes but I'm glad I have managed to keep off the fags.
