DD age 6 farts like a grown up man, much louder and longer than DH and he's bad enough!. So far I've taught her to say pardon or leave the room before she does it if she can, but tonight I couldn't believe the amount of gas coming out of her. I know she sometimes does it for effect and I can usually tell when she's forcing it (the bait usually works with DH, DGP and friends, they think it's funny) - but tonight when she said the above I realised she may have a flatulence problem and maybe I should be doing something about it.

Has anyone else had a child with severe wind and how did you help get rid of it?

BTW she eats fairly slowly.

If she can't fart with pride in the privacy of her own home, where can she?

DH is much more farty than me, and we eat a similar diet. Some people are just windier than others.

As long as she doesn't have tummy ache she's probably ok.

Better out than in and all that.
