What do you call your breasts in front of your DC's???

My DS is 20 months and has started to realise that I have boobs! He has taken to pulling back the covers and poking my nipple and giggling when he has a play in our bed in the morning, and he also sometimes squashes my boobs and thinks it's funny. I just say 'that's mummies boobies' then distract him and he then plays with his toys etc. I'm not sure what I should call them though? I am due DS2 in a month and will hopefully breastfeed again so I'm wondering what others call their breasts / boobs cos I think saying 'don't play with mummies boobies' in public might sound a bit dodgy!

Any other advice on what I should do? ie should I tell him 'no' whenever he pokes them or just distract him? I don't want him thinking any part of a body is wrong in some way though especially as he is too young to really understand yet.

Have steered clear of 'boobs/boobies' in this house as I didn't want toddler yelling for boob in public - as it was DS use to ask fairly politely for 'mulk please' until he stopped at about 2 yrs.

So instead I started saying 'bosom' as the word makes me snigger and I ahve quite an ample one. DS is now nearly 3 and still loves to fiddle .

Cowgirl - bosom here too.

For similar reasons - sniggering/amplenesss

Fab word, bosom.

Boobs.

However, when DS (7) saw me in a somewhat revealing dress the other day he said "hello, Dolly Parton" , so I suspect they'll become Dollies quite soon .

Definately boobies. The other day ds lifted up his top and said "Look Mummy, I got boobies too!" He too likes the occasional fiddle, tends to be either when shopping or when we have guests over.

Breasts.

I don't like nicknames like boobs at all. I shiver when I type it.

I do like the word tits though

Boobs seems to be the popular option but I have got into the habit of calling them tits for some reason. Fortunately DS only 6 months old, maybe I should quit whilst I'm ahead........ I do like telling him to "stop dicking about on the tit" when he's mucking about on and off feeding tho.......

We call them boobs, although DD calls them boops and tells people that one had juice and the other milk (for feeding 4mths old DS).

My mum used to call hers lotties, which even as a little kid I found a but odd.

LovelyRitaMeterMaid · 24/06/2009 22:33

I say breasts.

Like pointydog I really don't like boobs. DS (5) sometimes refers to boobs or boobies and it irks me.

FairLadyRantALot · 24/06/2009 22:35

Boobies in our hose....and breastmilk always has been Boobie-Juice ....
