What a wonderful little girl. How proud you must be.

You could write a letter to your local paper to thank the woman who helped. I'm sure she realised you were in no state to do so at the time.

Christ, I must have PMT. I'm in bits here!

What a wonderful, clever little girl you have. I think at least a dozen hairbands are in order!

How about posting a notice in a few local newspapers in the hope your lady will see it? I'm sure she'd be relieved to know you are better.

Oh poor you. Try to rest, if you can. I think anyone halfway decent would have responded in the same way to your DD.

beesonmummyshead · 22/06/2009 09:17

your dd sounds amazing. i too am in tears here, and I am blaming pmt!!

if every anything happens to me, I always analyse what could have happened and end up in a palm-sweating, shaking mess.

If your dd had grabbd my hand I would have instantly stopped and helped you. I don't think anyone would have hurt your child. If they didn't want to help, they would have said no and walked away, making your dd ask someone else. Not a nice scenario, but I truly believe that around 90% of the population would have helped and looked after your daughter. The other 9.9% might have walked away and its likely that the 0.1% of drunken psychotic individuals wouldn't even have noticed your daughter. And your daughter would not have thought that they look kind and gentle like you

indulge your precious dd and think about how much you are loved

frAKKINPannikin · 22/06/2009 09:41

Hope you managed to sleep a little. Your DD sounds absolutely fantastic and I'm sure anyone with half an ounce of compassion would have helped your DD.

saintmaybe · 22/06/2009 10:13

And do give her the chance to ask you any q's she might have afterwards, without putting too much of your guilt and worry on her. She did fantastically.

Agree, almost everyone would have helped, of course.

hope you're feeling better.

Just have to add you have made me cry too!!
What an amazingly clever little girl - can't help but think my (lovely) 3.4 yr old would not have been that calm and collected.

You mustn't feel guilty - I once had to phone a friend to come collect me in her car because I suddenly came over quite ill and couldn't get to Nursery to pick DD up at the very last minute. I was so embarassed, but these things happen, and the kindness of others is what keeps the world turning.

Poor you dilemma, that sounds like a really awful experience for you! I hope you are feeling a bit better today and can get help with the migraine.

Your little girl sounds amazing, well done to her.

She sounds so kind and caring, lovely.

Galava · 26/06/2009 15:32

What a lovely lovely little girl you have.

I'm sat her in tears too, and snivelling a bit as well, (desperately trying not too as I've got a full face of make up on as I'm off to the theatre in and just killing 10 minutes till the taxi arrives !)

As the others said try the local paper.

People can be so kind sometimes can't they.

giraffescantdancethetango · 26/06/2009 15:32

I can hadly see the keyboard for tears - thats so sweet.
