NappyZone, do you think the flexi tots nappy is better than the bumgenius??

No - not overall - bg are great but on a heavy wetter you would struggle to get enough in it to see you overnight. Hence i have a couple of flexi tots (two parter) that we use over night and they do the job (boosted with a hemp insert). Octo todays your last day for a bargain

PfftTheMagicDragon · 03/05/2009 11:45

I have used Bumgenius, 2 parts TotsBots Fluffle and I have tried the TotsBots Fluffle all in one.

My favourite is the Bumgenius and I hate the TotsBots all in one. It leaks, through the legs AND straight through the front, the fit and style is nothing on the Bumgenius.

Compared to a 2 parter, the bumgenius is a lot easier to put on and it dries quickly enough. It is a bit of a pain in that you really need to take the insert out before washing as I find it doesn't come out in the machine like the inserts do on the 2 parters.

I have not had any sort of an explosion with the Bumgenius, wee or poo.

no i dont really like the aio either - i dont really think of it as an aio as it doesnt have a stay dry liner so i have to add a fleece liner to it so really its two parts to me lol . Thats what i like about the new tots pocket - the stay dry liner business. Ooooohh i just love pockets

PfftTheMagicDragon · 03/05/2009 13:08

oooh have just ordered some BG from you, NZ

Chulita · 03/05/2009 14:14

I love, love, love the BG [flag waving bg freak] It's true that they're not that great overnight but I use Bumhuggers overnight or Fluffles. I have had some MASSIVE poos in bg and they've left a smidge on her vest but the totsbots aio...my goodness, we had a couple of wet disasters in that badboy never let dd wear it enough to have a poo. toot toot for bg all the way!!

Nappyzoneisabeetrootrunner · 03/05/2009 15:27

pfft if you tell me the colours so i can identify you as a mumsnetter i will make sure they go first class instead of slow mail

PfftTheMagicDragon · 03/05/2009 15:53

Oh thanks, nappy...I ordered 3 nappies, 1 each of butternut, zinnia and the light pink (blossom?).

thank you

PfftTheMagicDragon · 03/05/2009 15:58

Chulita, we just had change of clothes on after the other in the tots AIO. In fact, I have been thinking about returning it. (I only bought one to try, fortunately)

I use the BG at night and have never had a leak.

Nappyzoneisabeetrootrunner · 03/05/2009 15:58

big note added

afterglow · 03/05/2009 16:29

Is the legfit of the tots pocket the same as the aio and flexitot? We had leaks with both of those. BG have been fine, except that dd now wrenches the velcro open if I don't get her clothes on smartish.

Chulita · 03/05/2009 16:39

Pfft - I've never had a leak with the BG overnight either but everytime I've put one for longer than about 5/6 hrs it's absolutely sopping so I'm a bit about using one for the 12-13hrs she's in bed for at night, I think the BH's are so cute anyway that I'm quite happy to use them!
I sold my totsbots (or is it totsbot?) on ebay in the end

PfftTheMagicDragon · 03/05/2009 17:34

Maybe I shall sell mine on then.

I see why you would be worried about the long stretch at night, my DD is a heavy wetter and we were starting to find that the standard Fluffles were not holding enough wee for her. But they do wee less at night, I find with the extra booster the BG is fine for at least 13 hours. We have even had the morning poo on top of the night wee and still no leaks!

It's hard to risk it though!

KirstyJC · 04/05/2009 15:41

My DS is a heavy wetter at night, although only 6 months old, and he hasn't had a single leak in BG. I put in 2 of the bigger inserts (the ones that can popper) and I've found they last up to 13 hours, and can even contain his early morning BF poo on those occasions I'm too lazy to get up quickly enough to change his night nappy first .

I'm so glad I went for the BG - they are great. Even very reluctant DH has stopped moaning about disposables being better now

Scotia · 04/05/2009 22:55

NZ, I ordered one of the Totsbots and an Itti Bitti from you too - have seen the Tots at a nappuccinos in Edinburgh and like the look of it. Can't wait to try them out

Chulita · 05/05/2009 09:11

I really want to try an Itti Bitti, some people on mn seem to swear by them...

PfftTheMagicDragon · 08/05/2009 07:56

Thanks NZ, really good service, I received my nappies a couple of days ago, just wanted to say thank you!

fluffybummum · 08/05/2009 11:57

Hi all,

I'm a rael nappy advisor and retailer (not trying to sell you anything!) I have tried all the nappies available on my poor suffering daughter and have found that tots bots is much better than bum genius, both myself and my hubby found that the Tots Bots is much easier to use, they fit better and dry quicker.

Hope this helps.

I love my BG. I Put a hemp liner under the two microfleece BG liners and it works great. our son is a heavy wetter and this heps cuz the hemp is thinner and super absorbant. I'm the morning the hemp is sopping and the other liners are wet. He also HATES being in a wet diaper and before my BG I would change him constantly cuz he woudl cry when he was wet. In his BG the liner will be soaked and the fleece side feels warm but dry.
My husband loves them cuz they go on just like a disposable fast and easy. They also dry super fast cuz they are the pocket style. Worth the investment since they fit from 8lb to 30lb. They are the Best! We love them

muntimummy · 19/05/2009 22:43

Hi all
Anyone tried the new Pocket tots AIO Birth to potty by Tots bots yet?
I have 8 BG's but do get the occaisional leak of wee (never poo) but have just had to unpick the tabs which hold the applix in place when washing as they've gone sharp around the edges and rub my little ones hips! I bought some chinese imprts off ebay and they have been just as good as BG's if not better- they are popper fastening but have been fantastic from day one!

emmanesium · 29/05/2009 20:13

My son is 7 months old and we've had a disaster with bumgenius. They leaked from the time he was 8 weeks and so we gave up. Tried again a few weeks ago and they don't fit him (weighs 20lbs). They are so tight around legs (on max size setting) that they left marks that lasted 5 hrs! I tried the thicker popper lining and the newborn together to stop the leaking and the nappy was so fat and uncomfy he couldn't move and his clothes didn't fit. So how come some of you are using two liners and a hemp? How does it physically fit your baby?
