People keep pronouncing DDs name wrong

How should I correct them without embarassing myself or them? I keep speaking to her by name and referring to her by name to DS but people continually pronounce it wrong. She is 2 now so it has been going on too long to say 'oh by the way you pronounce it....'
I'm now kicking myself for choosing an unusual name
Thanks for any advice!

I love the name Anya but knew it would always be pronounced An-ya rather than Arn-ya (which is the pronunciation I like) so to save the hassle we went with a totally different name (it also didn't go with our surname!)

Nesa was also in the running, but I knew that e would forever be explaining that no its not short for vanessa its a cornish name ...... So that one was also discounted.

To the OP if it bothers you that much when they say the name incorrectly, just say the name properly, they'll get it eventually - don;t be embarrassed they are the ones getting it wrong, not you!

My favourite was with my maiden name - I was registering at Uni and I said my name - she mispronounced it as the much more common variant. So I said, no, it's . She said (commmon variant) again. I said NO, it's _ spelt with an i, not a u. She said......

wait for it, it's a good one..

"are you sure?"

People have always proannounced my name wrong or use different variants of it. It has really never bothered me
