Totally agree - we have a 3yo and on a Saturday morning we can all be found in our pjs until about midday - I get a lie in, DS and DP play with lego or watch Saturday Kitchen.

dd1 is 4 and never done a class (apart from preschool!!) she is going to mini active at the gym soon as dh joined david lloyd and the dd's got free membershp so can attend classes there free she can have swimming lessons there but they are 4.30 in the vening and tbh shes grouchy then and dd2 is unbearable as just given her nap up plus dd1 starts school in september so think a full day at school then swimming will be too much

Dilemma yes, bell ringing. I'm thinking of signing her up for organ lessons too so she can really maximise her usefulness to the church. Whaddya reckon?

Don't see why not, we're only a couple of hours from there so we could pop down after school one day. You can never have enough skills and it would look good on her Oxbridge application I imagine.

That woman sounds mental! And her poor DD My SIL is a bit like that, her 7 year old DS does loads of things, rugby, swimming, skiing, football, art classes yadda yadda yadda. In the October week she signed him up to do some sort of crap educational class all week, he should have been out jumping in puddles!!!!

Pawslikepaddington · 23/01/2009 21:18

Ha ha, we did classes (ballet sat, riding sun) and I sacked them as dd was too knackered. Sounds like she doesn't want to spend time with her dd to me!
