weaning the baby at the mo but is it just me that has a prob with the idea of microwaves?!

thanks for posting the links i'm a biologist hopeless at physics though I always leave anything I reheat in the microwave for a minute then stir like mad to avoid hot spots.

I only reheat food I've previously cooked as TBH I hate that overheated around the edges cold in middle microwave effect or maybe it's just my terrible cooking.

I read a study a while ago, I can't remeber exactly where it was from, but I've a feeling it was in the health section of the Observer. Basically, it was about testing blood chemistry after the subjets had drunk milk heated in a microwave, or heated in a pan. From what I can remeber, the blood chemistry of those who had drunk the milk from the microwave was quite different from that of the milk heated in the pan. I don't think that there was any difference beforehand.

I always used to use a microwave before, but stopped after I had read that. It might just be me being daft though...
