I think they would still be too big - DS was born at 6lb 5oz and we didn't start using the EH for a while. Extra small Sandys were perfect though

How big was you LO before you started using EH?
I really prefer that those nappies are fleece lined so babes does not feel wet.

I think he was about 10lb, but its hard to remember - it was about the same time as moving to the small Sandys

Oh that's ages away!
I just cant justify going through 3 sizes of nappies. This is my last baby, so no hand me downs.

I find EH really small fitting. My DS was in the large EH bumhuggers from birth (about 10lb) - would have thought the small ones would fit. As they've got so many poppers they are pretty adjustable.

Like all nappies depends on the shape of your baby not just their weight. Try one and see.

Also if you go for a different type of nappy - don't bother with 3 sizes. Go for small, skip medium as there isn't that much difference then go for the large. If you particularly want fleece have a go with fleece liners, they work the same way. Little lambs come with a fleece liner, I've got a few of these nappies, their bamboo ones stay lovely and soft.

Oh my God Loler, your DS must've been massive!

Twinklingfairy - Small Bumhuggers are big between the legs and done up on tightest leg and tum without overlapping on my DD and she's 11 weeks and 12lb at least. I would 100% recommend XS Sandy's with a fleece liner or fleece topped booster like I use, Sandy's are, imho, the best and most reliable nappy on the market, i've not had a single poo leak in 8 weeks of use. I use EH but I regret it every time she poos because the poppers don't do up independently on legs and tum so they don't fit around leg properly and 9 out of 10 times poo comes straight out.
