Do you think I will need a double buggy with a 21 month age gap between kids?

I am thinking ahead here.... We are expecting DC2 next July when DS will be around 21 months old. He isn't even walking just now (13 months) so doubt he will be able to walk that far by summertime. I was thinking I could maybe get by with a sling for babba and keep using the pram for DS but do you think we would ultimately need a double buggy?

I have nearly 3 year age gap but do all my shopping on foot. So got Phil and Teds off ebay and am really glad I did. Use it loads and have the Maclaren for shorter journeys. I think with double buggies there are more good condition 2nd hand ones about.
