Are any of you a fulltime university student who uses childcare? Please help! Or those who have done the second year, and gone on to the third!

Hiya,
I use a nursery for childcare three times a week (for the full day - 7.30am to 6pm). Also got additional childcare for my ds over the holidays as he is in school, but as dd is only 3, there are no additional costs for her over that period.

However, what do you do after the third term (Summer Holidays)?
Did you find you still used the summer to do university work, so used the childcare, or did you put a retainer on the space down?

The nursery my daughter attends charges 60% of the normal fee for holidays, which I wasn't willing to pay for 3 months of the summer.

I spoke to the nursery and they said to cancel her place and re-enrol her in September. I booked her place for September the same day I cancelled her place for the summer. Only cost me £35 registration fee rather than paying for childcare for the three months.

I'm going to keep her in nursery for most of the summer next year though. After being used to spending time at nursery she was easily bored during the summer.
