Tripp trapp highchairs - quick question(s)

Are they really worth the money? How do you stop a small baby (6mo) throwing themselves backwards out of it when it hardly has a back?

Beware the chairs that clip onto the table. They can ruin your table. A friend's parents had to ban them from beingused in their holiday cottage as they were fprever damaging the wooden kitchen tables in there. They made a real mess.
