Hi, ds 2.8yrs finally decided after several failed attempts that tonight he was ready to wee on his potty.

As I was getting him ready for bed he just said "Mummy I need a wee" so I asked him if he wanted to go on the potty and he said yes. Its the first time i've tackled potty training as ds is my oldest and I'm just not sure what to do tomorrow. Should I put him into pants or let him wear his nappy and see if he tells me when he wants to go again?? I want him to be in control iykwim I don't want him to feel pressured because this might put him off

Sorry if I sound a bit thick. lol. x

I would suggest the pants with enthusiasm and lots of praise for being so clever the night before etc. But if he wants the nappy I wouldn't pressure him.
