Is it normal for teen girls to talk like this?

Earlier on my daughter (14) went to toilet and came out ages afterwards. When she did DS said to her "you were ages in there" and she replied by saying "well I can't help it if I need a good clearout can I?". She always talks like this but my friend says its wierd and that teen girls don't talk like this.

So is it?

ANd your friend is an expert in what way exactly? Tell him/her to stop talking crap: teenage girls are individual human beings just like adult men, women, teenage boys and toddlers.
It is perhaps fair to say that not everyone is so matter of fact about bodily functions and some people might be a bit less um, earthy, in public, but it's not exactly a big deal. Is your 'friend' one of these fuckwits who'se big on conformity and femininity by any chance?

Oh blimey, I am sure that most teenage girls are deliberately crass to their brothers. They probably wouldn't be to the boy they fancied at school. Your friend knows nothing I tell you, nothing!

Oh good god. Is that all?
Normal talk in my household.
