You could just go for Joyeux anniversaire

the 'seu' may be too formal for a one year old!! I speak spanish not Portuguese, and I am tempted to say it would be 'teu' but that would be guessing really!

In Portuguese it would be "Desejamos a você um Feliz 1o Aniversário. Esperamos que aproveite seu dia especial."

No true equivalent to 'special day' in French - or at least not one DH or I can think of.
