Why are all the baby groups at civilised times of day??!

I've decided babies don't do civilised (yes I know, taken me this long!). He is at his best at 7.30am when he's fed, watered and wants to play, or at 11 when it is not quite lunchtime, or any time of the day that is not right in the middle of his nap! he is not at his best when he's just flaked out at 8.30 for his daily nap (1 hour if i want to sleep, 3 hours if I want to go out!) and if we are going then I have to get him up and out the house by 9.40!.

So do I leave him to sleep and miss the baby group we both enjoy (when he will wake at 10.00 and be cranky all day) or do i wake him and go and hope the hour kip will be enough today?

Most of ours are in the afternoon - ususally 1.30pm - 2.45pm in time for school pick up time

oh he sleeps then too..... his reign of terror over my social life is complete

(but i do adore him!)

(I can't believe I'm actually complaining about him sleeping.... I must be tired....)

I'd just go and let him sleep through it. all the noise from teh activity can be part of his sweet dreams. And you can chat in peace with some of the Mums there.

btw - all our baby groups were at 10 or 11am (inlcuding the free baby bounce sessions in the library)

Go anyway! It is good for you to get out too. Even if he wakes up and is cranky it won't seem so bad if you have been out for a while. I go stir crazy when I am stuck in all day.
