Hi
I have 2 kids, one started full time primary, the second is 17 months and still at home with me. This is my 5th year of being a stay at home mum, and im losing my mind with the loneliness and not having any money.
Ive been applying for part time jobs with no success as of yet, but i also feel a bit guilty to not give my second the same amount of time at home as my first had with me. I also come from a family who are super judgemental with these things.
It seems impossible to even find a job..

I guess I'm just so confused and conflicted and really struggling to decide anything anymore.

Please be kind

If you’ve been ally for part time jobs then I presume you have some childcare available? If so then look at doing some volunteering as it is useful to put on your CV plus you may learn some new skills, be part of a team, etc.

I was a SAHM for ten years but starting volunteering in a charity office 7 years into being a SAHM so by the time I was able to return to work I had three years of voluntary office experience. I got the second job that I applied for and I’m still there.

If you don’t want to volunteer then how about a lunchtime controller in a school for 1-2 hours daily? It’s a step in the right direction.

Go back to work full time. I don't know anyone who stayed home beyond the 12 month mat leave. Child will be fine.
