We go on holiday on Thursday, do I keep my DD off tomorrow and Wednesday?
I am off on Wednesday but wanted the day to do errands. DH thinks he’ll be able to work tomorrow and look after 1.5 year old but I’m telling him he won’t be able to. He wants to keep DD off both days in case she picks up a bug. Has he got a point??

Yeah I’ve always done this when dc were younger. And never had an important event ruined by a sick child!
tummy bugs I think are the most disruptive type of illness and incubation is generally around 48 hours

I did keep DS off for a week from playgroups /indoor stuff (he was 12 months, not quite at nursery yet) before a big family holiday.

It was pointless, he caught the flu 3 weeks before and even though that got better, it turned into a bad ear infection that ruined our plans anyways.

1 or 2 days won't make a difference anyway.
