Using car seat protectors on Maxi Cosi or Joie during potty training

Has anyone used Hygge car seat protectors on a Maxi Cosi or Joie car seat while potty training? Manufacturers sound super strict about this, but there doesn’t seem to be an own brand version that’s completely waterproof/designed for this specific purpose

It doesn’t answer your specific question, but I just used puppy training pads which saved the washing and worry about having a spare clean and dry.

I just put a nappy on the outside of his clothes - not done up, he kind of just sat on it. Seemed to work well and caught a couple accidents.

For the first few weeks, you just stay at home. Then short trips. We also just used a puppy pad. For the times when we went on a long car journey where they were likely to fall asleep, we put them in pull ups only for the car ride.

If there is a 5 point harness on the seat then they are not going to slide out of it because of a thin potty training pad. Don't put anything bulky under the straps, but we used things like muslins/portable absorbent changing mat type thing. But TBH we never had an accident in the car, just got them to try before we went in it, and avoided the first few days of potty training coinciding with long journeys.
