13-month-old has stopped waving and I’m feeling worried

My 13 month old had stopped waving, he started at around 9.5 months, I wouldn’t say he waved back every time but it was pretty good and now he never does. I’m really worried. I don’t think I’ve seen him wave for over a month now.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Not unusual, they haven't forgotten just found something else to do.

What else does he do in terms of milestones?

If he is still progressing, it probably just means he no longer finds waving interesting. If you're concerned about development in general, see your GP.

He does clap a lot and started pointing more, walking etc some words. But zero waving and doesn’t really show us things it’s more if he wants something like he wants us to read a book.

If he's moved past a milestone onto other milestones, that's ok.
What specifically are you worried about?

If you have a concern about development delay, you need to consult a GP or health visitor.

They do this a lot. They are learning lots so sometimes they temporarily forget the thing they did last week/month.

It's when they stop doing lots of stuff completely while also not reaching new milestones that you need to worry, or at least that was my understanding.

And for the record, mine didn't wave until about 20 months. Just antisocial 😂
