Just found out of third and last child is a little boy!! We already have a DD 4 DS 2 and this will be our last little one. I am excited to have another boy and we had no preference I just don’t know anyone with this dynamic and how it’s worked out for them?

Our daughter said she was happy either way, but I get occasional pangs of sadness for her that she is the only girl in the family. I would probably feel the same for my son too!

just hoping for others experiences!

thank you!

Congratulations, I have boy, boy, girl.
Dd loves being the only girl (17 now). Has a good relationship with both brothers. I'd say the boys have had more hobbies in common which they sometimes do together but that is probably just as much about personality.
When dd was younger she went through a phase of wanting a sister like her friends but soon realised that actually they can be annoying too.
I'd say of the 3 dc dd has been the hardest to parent, I'd have struggled with two of her, so the mix of 2 boys and a girl has been great.

I have Girl, Boy, Boy. Both DSs seem to treat DD with respect, maybe because she’s the eldest? She gets on well with both of them but quite differently, as they have quite different personalities. All three of them are different, unrelated to whether they’re boys or girls. DD and I do some stereotypically female activities together, which is quite relaxing for me. My DH has had to work a bit harder if he’s with the two boys.. I don’t feel like there’s a big bias towards one sex or the other in the family, both sexes are represented, with everyone having different interests and preferences
