Advice for potty training when wees are fine but poo accidents continue

We started potty training 2.5 year old DD almost 4 weeks ago. It’s gone a little bit slower than with my first but she has cracked wees now with no more accidents at home or at nursery. She just seems to be really struggling with the poo side of things. She has successfully said “I need a poo” taken herself to the potty or toilet and done a poo probably 3 times in the past few weeks which we’ve obviously praised massively and I thought great, she’s done it. But then most other days she seems to say that she needs a poo, sits on the toilet for a minute then says all done while doing nothing. Lo and behold the next hour she will do the poo in her knickers. She always tells us she’s had an accident which I think is a good sign. But I’m just at a loss at how I can help her anymore to get those poos actually in the toilet. I can’t work out which part she’s finding tricky. Any advice or help appreciated!!

My DD trained not long ago and was holding her poo.
when she said she needed one I would sit on the toilet floor with her and basically kept her on it until she had it, it wasn’t a long time but it felt it 😂
not sure if this is the right thing to do but she managed it.

the ERIC website is really good.
