Hi, i am really struggling for birthday present ideas for my 2 nephews this year. They are 11 and 9. I really want to give them something that will make them go wow. Budget is up to £50

It not what you want to hear, but they are so fussy at those ages. Unless it’s really clear what they are into (then you wouldn’t be asking this question here), I’d give them a £50 note in a card. They will be thrilled and then can pick out what they really want and show you. Or take them each out for a treat and a shopping trip to choose something for themselves.

Books, surely?

Either a set of books each that they may just be about to get into, or that you would enthusiastically recommend, or a single book each from maybe the Folio Society - again, something you’d really like to share with them.

Seriously.....ask them or ask their parents.
There's no point in someone suggesting a (for example) football kit if they are into Nintendo games or whatever.
