Suncream recommendations that do not sting a three-year-old's eyes

Suncream keeps going in my 3yr olds eye and it hurts. Any recommendations for one that doesn't? Currently using Soltan kids F50 and tried the soltan baby F50 too, but no difference.

I’m probably going to sound unkind and I don’t mean to but it’s chemicals so really you need to not get it in her eyes. Maybe try a stick one

Agree Altruist is best sun cream but I stopped putting sun cream on their forehead etc a few years ago and just carefully apply cheeks and below as it just always stung if it ran off in their eyes over the day and they literally always wear a hat in the sun so forehead/eyes protected by that. Works for us!

How is it going in their eyes? Would a solar buddy make it easier?

Moo Goo Spf40 kids , is mineral and super thick but seems to not sting my very sensitive skin/eyes DS!

Try the Soltan stick, it’s the most perfect thing for little faces, no spillage, small, and easy to use. I also use it on my own burn points like knees, nose and shoulders. Can’t recommend enough! They’ve brought out an adult version now too.

This might be really obvious and unhelpful, but are you putting it on their eyelids? I’ve had no problem with stinging eyes since I stopped just smooshing it all over my face and started deliberately avoiding my eyelids.

Sweat and it runs in i think. I'm not putting it on her eyelids!

We just use a really big hat and don't stay out for too long! We've got this one decathlon hat. We put a big umbrella over the buggy too in addition to the hood.

With kindness, I think work on your application technique. I've never had a problem with suncream in my children's eyes even in sweaty weather. We mainly use waterproof Nivea factor 30 or 50. It's pretty thick and doesn't seem to go runny.

Only at the grand old age of 48, after 47yrs of wearing suncream, did I accidentally smear some in my own eye. It was insanely painful but my eye watered ferociously for about 35mins and washed it out.

I think you are just rubbing in the sun cream too close to the child’s eyes. The skin around the eyes is thin.

For the avoidance of doubt, I am not rubbing it on or near her eyes; not below her eyebrows and a similar distance away below her eyes too. She does have a hat, but will.just take it off too, so it's necessary to put it above.

My DC will only have the Nivea face sub cream on their faces, I think that’s because of other types stinging.
