I am putting this as a parenting thread as I need advice on comforting and reassuring my 9 year old daughter due to the following.
On Wednesday evening just before bedtime my youngest daughter, who is 9, told me that one if her friends had said that her daddy had hit her very hard and had shown my daughter a big bruise on her tummy.
Obviously I reported what my daughter had told me to the head on Thursday morning.
On Thursday evening she told me that the head had taken her friend out if the class. My daughter was worried that she had got her friend into trouble,
I assured her that she hadn't and that her friend was being looked after by the teachers.
Her friend was not in school on Friday. My daughter is now very upset and worrying about her friend thinking she has caused her to get into trouble.
I am keeping on gently assuring her that it just means that the teachers are making extra sure she is being looked after.
Has anyone any suggestions as to how I can comfort and reassure her. She is understandably being very clingy and is getting lots of cuddles.
