Struggling with work life balance and considering a complete career change

I am struggling to find the work/life balance. I am the main source of income for the household (partner works PT and does the school runs and everything inbetween). I have a broken relationship with my dad and feel so passionately about being present for our three year old daughter. I dislike my job and am struggling to find an alternative that differs from what I currently do. I am unhappy and want to make changes and hand my notice in but I can’t seem to find the direction in which I want to go. I currently work in a corporate environment and want something more physical and outdoors. What would the advice be and have others found themselves in similar situations?

Physical and outdoors tends to be lower paid and if you’re thinking of environmental type work very hard to get.
The best option is probably moving to something similar but flexible with quite a bit of work from home.
The last thing you want to do is go for a lower paid job and constantly be short of money and economising to pay bills. It’s not fun and children cost more as they get older

Plenty of time to change career. You in 30s/40s?You thinking outdoor trade role or something like working in arboriculture? Are you quite healthy/active?

32, healthy and active, just difficult to try and qualify in something different without reducing my income for the family.
