looking for some advice and If any other mums are going through something similar to me

i have one child, nearly 4. He has never slept through the night.
He has severe eczema and we are on waiting list for a tonsillectomy.

he wakes every 2/3 hours. Even when he does ‘sleep’ hes
not really in a deep sleep and is still tossing and turning and scratching.

I am a single parent and my mum helps me , she sleeps with him a few nights a week. My mum is exhausted from it too.

i feel broken because of this situation

im shouting and snapping at my son at my son which I hate but can’t seem to help it.

when it’s getting towards bed time I feel dread come over me

That must be hell, lack of sleep is torture. I assume you have ruled out allergies?

We realized my son had CMPA around age 1. He was breastfed so only had a bit of dairy here and there but basically he was sleeping worse and worse, eczema and nappy rashes were constant, and he was waking every few hours. We cut out dairy entirely and he was a changed toddler. We've tried reintroducing dairy and the same thing happens each time, the sleep goes down the pot first, presumably because his stomach hurts.

thank you. I’ve tried cutting out dairy. I must admit maybe I should have stuck it out for longer than I did but I didn’t see any improvements at all for quite a while . He is seeing (another) dermatologist in a few weeks. It’s the obstructed airways due to the enlarged tonsils that’s driving me up the wall. The poor sod can’t even breathe properly xx
