Is this early 4 month regression or is it going to get worse than this?🥴

I have a 14 week old baby who has slept well since the beginning. At 10 weeks she started sleeping 6-7 hour chunks at night (hooray!) but over the last few weeks this has changed and she is now back to waking every 3 hours and I am exhausted😩

She does go back to sleep again fairly easily after having a bottle and isn’t showing any signs of teething so I’m assuming it’s hunger waking her? She still only has 4oz every 2-3 hours during the day and if she has any more she is usually sick. I tried a 5oz bottle before bed to see if it would help her sleep longer and she woke up earlier🫠

Is this the 4 month sleep regression already or is that still to hit and should I expect things to get worse! Developmentally I know there’s a lot going on, she’s very ‘chatty’, batting at toys etc and trying very hard to roll but not quite there yet.

Any advice or similar experiences welcome! I’m hoping there is a light at the end of the tunnel and to get a chunk of more than 3 hours sleep soon🫠

This is very normal. There really isn’t much you can do about other than making sure she isn’t hungry. She might be better once she is being weaned

It's all very up and down at that age. It will get better and the worse and so on. I remember my son sleeping 8 hours around 7 weeks. It lasted 5 days! Then it just went to pot. Then it got better right before 4 months and then it went to pot again literally the day he turned 4 months. Then it got better again but then he started teething etc. You just have to take each day as it comes.

Totally normal, just accept babies wake at night and you can't fix it. Mine only slept through at 18 months.

The 6-7 hours was the abnormal part! 😅

3 hours is pretty good at 4 months! It will get better from there as they get older, but you might find the “regression” is yet to hit but they do improve on the other side of it!
