Hey without knowing that prune puree can make your baby have loose stools I’ve given him the full pouch he wasnt constipated he just loved the taste so he had the full pouch and now google telling me he’s going to get dehydrated😩

No harm done. Give him a drink of water. Maybe funny poo and thats it.

LemonsMakelimes · 25/04/2026 21:06

Eh? No he’ll be fine. He won’t get dehydrated after one pouch of fruit puree. Maybe he’ll have a slightly looser nappy than usual or maybe he won’t. He won’t have explosive diarrhoea for days.

Hey, I have 2 kids 5 and 2 and I have done this with both in the past. I didn’t know I shouldn’t have until reading this! They’re fine.

Worse cases your baby may have a bit of a belly ache but truthfully… I doubt it! X

It's just fruit he'll be fine 😂

Also if he does have the runs… just give plenty of milk/water :-). Good mums don’t worry - you’re doing great! X

No problem! They wouldn’t be able to sell anything in baby pouches in a dangerous quantity. All the best ❤️

I regularly give my baby a whole pouch of prune. He’s never had dehydration from it x

Cakeandcardio · 25/04/2026 21:36

My son ate prune pouches all the time. He was fine!
