12 month old still has diarrhoea after cold, any similar experiences?

Advice needed, my 12 month old picked up a nasty cough/cold which caused some stomach upset, the cold has now cleared up but he is still having diarrhoea 2.5 weeks later and waking up most nights because he has pooed which he has never done before. Has anyone else experienced this for such a long period of time and did anything help resolve it?

After that length of time I think I’d be asking to send off a poo sample.
Is there any chance he has developed an allergy to milk or anything else? Has he had some yougurt to put some good bacteria back?

I don’t have the answer but my 10 month old had tonsillitis which peaked about 10 days ago and still has the diarrhoea that came with it, was also wondering when to expect it to stop

The doctors suspect it could be a temporary lactose intolerance as a result of the viral infection so he’s currently on day 2 of a lactose free diet - some minor improvements but still feels wrong for this level of stomach upset! Worried he’s potentially developed CMPA as he has had slight issues with dairy causing eczema in the past!
