How can I transition my one year old from bottles to a beaker

My 1 year old is currently transoniting to oat milk (cows milk allergy). He usually has 3 bottles a day a normal baby bottle. At the moment 4 oz formula, 3 oat milk. How do I transition him onto a beaker, so he doesn't rely on a baby bottle only a bed time. Im really struggling and since hes been drinking oat hes wanting more bottles. He can drink out of any bottle (straw, beaker, baby bottle)

He probably associates milk with a bottle. Why can't he carry on having milk from a bottle, and have water and juice from a cup?

When my son was a baby I remember the health visitor told me not to take the bottle from him until he was ready because the sucking instinct can last for years .He’s still only a baby allow him to drink from his bottle some babies are still on the breast at one year old .

Thank you for this! So much pressure to stop the bottle or breastfeeding but he loves his bottle so much especially at night

I didn’t bother. So many fights to be had, so many changes in their lives, it didn’t seem worth the battle. She remained on bottles until she was almost 2. She’s 4 now and I jokingly gave her her little sisters bottle a few days ago and she had to study it to figure out how to get milk out!

Please don’t give into pressure or judgement so long as your baby is eating drinking and happy that’s all that matters xx
