Clothing brand recommendations for a sturdy nearly six year old girl

My almost 6 year old is very sturdy. She isn't "fat" but she is stocky built. Most kids clothes are so narrow in the waist and stomach they're uncomfortable and I have to buy her age 8-9 to ensure there is room in the waist. She is quite tall for her age, but not really tall enough to pull off 8-9 clothes!!!
I have heard a lot about scandi brands, but when I look at reviews, they seem quite mixed about whether they actually ARE generous around the waist, so I am looking for some recommendations please! I am a student so money is tight, but I am always open to checking out more expensive brands on vinted if needs be (or even to checking out the cheaper brands, if they are decent quality and survive well. I do love a bargain haha). Thanks in advance

I found Asda clothes were quite roomy

I find most of the Scandi brands slim fitting so they fit tall slim children best. Some clothes like joggers are always bigger around the waist than leggings.

Boys' clothes tend to be more generously cut, so you could try that for basics. Older Frugi styles from a few years ago are often very generous, so that might be an option secondhand. They also usually have some boxy t-shirts and swing dress and tunic styles that would be easy through the waist.
