Working parents free childcare hrs entitlement

My partner and I have been claiming working parents free childcare for over a year. Recently I renewed our claim like you do every 3 months. 3 days later partner gets made redundant.
If they get a FT job next month we will still meet the min 16hrs pw or equivalent requirement for this 3 month period.
My question is at what point are we no longer entitled to claim the free hours and when do I need to inform HMRC?

When you are next asked to reconfirm. You won't be able to so you will enter the Grace period which is usually until the end of that term. If you don't then get a job and apply before end of Grace period, you will need to wait until the following term (or longer) to become eligible again.
