How many times a day is your toddler screaming?

My 16 month old screams and screeches all day every day and has been this way for months on end. He freaks out when he gets dressed or changed and every single nappy change. Every thing he does throughout tje day he screams in anger. He gets so frustrated so quick. I'm talking around 150 tantrums or screams a day. Sometimes just a second or 2 sometimes alot longer sometimes. Just consistent little scream after little scream. He throws things and hits out.

I have tried just about every technique out there to calm him or teach him it's not okay. He's also happy he plays with us, interacts, loves meal times, plays by himself, enjoys walk until he has had enough then the whole town knows.

Just wandering if this is normal. I have lived with other children of his age and wasn't like this?

Mine is 22 months old and we have had a lot, lot less screaming since the 18 month language explosion. I also changed some things about my toddler's routine to give them more independence: standing up for nappy changes (wet nappies) with pull ups. We've also started potty training at home and at nursery, so dirty nappies (and therefore lying down to be properly cleaned) are a lot less frequent.

changes are hard for kids, especially if they cannot voice their issues. the key here is for you to maintain your state steady as escalating may make the situation even worse. I know it's hard, but modelling calm for them is very valuable - try giving him 2 choices and see if including him makes a difference
