My son and daughter have strep throat and have been prescribed Clarithromycin for 7 days. Is this enough for strep throat or would they need 10 days?

7 days is fine

BNF guidance suggests 5 days, so I think 7 days is your GP being cautious. Obviously if your children become unwell again (high fever etc), go back.

Thank you

You need to follow your GP's directions.

The course of medication should have been told to you when you picked it up from the pharmacy.

Call and ask either the doctor who prescribed or the pharmacist who dispensed the meds if you're unsure.

It is important not to guess.
