8 month old struggling to eat due to cold

My baby girl is 8.5 months, she is happy in herself but is very stuffy and blocked up, she is struggling to eat food where she is unable to breathe through her nose so is it ok to just give a baby of this age just her formula, or do they need food? I could also go back to puree food if food is essential, I think she would be ok eating runny food.
I have also tried suction to help her breathe but it isn’t really doing much.
Thanks in advance x

You need saline nose drops.

I'm sorry your little one has a cold. There is a saying " food before one is just for fun". Your DD will be fine having formula if that's all she can manage. I hope she feels better soon!

Saline drops and also try steam. Either a steamy bathroom or boil the kettle, near her.

Don’t worry about the food at this point, her milk is fine for now.

@ChestnutSquash@CDTC@Villanousvillans thank you all. Good to hear just bottle is fine for now as that’s all she can manage. I do have the frida saline spray and suction, as much as she hates it I will keep doing it as much as I am allowed to help her. Thank you

I’d keep giving her food to play with, but it doesn’t matter if she eats any of it. Agree with saline. They don’t like it, but it helps.
