Am I unreasonable to dislike Go Go Go videos for my three year old?

Hello mumsnet,

This could seem unimportant among the rest of the concerns others have posted on this site but I will write anyway… has anyone else heard of this children’s band called Go!Go!Go! DD (3) was given a DVD of the music videos by my niece because she loved the songs when she was a child. The band seems to have been active in the early 2010s. It consists of 5 adults who sing and dance songs for children but one of them is a woman in heels and a ludicrously short dress with her bum out, absolutely nothing else covering her up. Is it me being unreasonable for not wanting my DD to be looking up to someone like this? I definitely would not want to see her dressing like this as an adult out in the city nevermind having it shown to her in toddler’s content when she is only 3. Why does someone her age need to see this at all?

I’d never heard of them but had a quick look on YouTube and I can’t see anything too inappropriate. I had to click on a few videos before I saw any dresses! I probably wouldn’t have registered it was particularly short unless you’d mentioned it either. I definitely didn’t see any “bum out” as you mentioned.

She doesn’t need to watch it. She’s 3, she doesn’t need to watch any videos but if you want her to then choose things you approve of. She’s your child.
