Your experience of parental controls on child's phone/computer/tablet/games consoles

hi all,
I've been working hard investigating the built-in parental/child safety controls on the tech in our house, and my conclusion is that many of these safety settings do not deliver what they promise.. And actually serve to lull parents into a false sense of security.

Its a tricky one because there's definitely a responsibility for parents to supervise their kids at all times (when using tech).. But I feel that it should also be possible to control these devices so that they cannot access adult material.

I'm interested to hear of others experience with these tools

I think it's a difficult one beacuse has a dad to a teenage DS no matter how hard you try,there will always be a way around children accessing inappropriate content or coming across it accidentally.so many children know about VPN and how to access them now.we can try and do out best as children to protect them as much as possible but in my opinion the best course of action has been through educating him by warning him of about the uses of such inappropriate sites and monitoring his devices on a regular basis
