And pencils
Felt tips
Goggles
Ribbons

Other sock to the pair

Just, where?

I'm part of a litter picking group and, with the exception of slippers, the things you mention are picked up in the streets/beach/parks around here every single week. Hair bands/spiral bands are amongst the most frequent items.

We also get - other stationery items like rubbers, rulers, sports kit, bits of school uniform, small plastic toys/bits of toys, NERF bullets, gloves, sandwich boxes. It's like all children have a hole in the bottom of their rucksack. 😀

My spaniels have most of them, especially the socks and hair scrunchies!

I have 3 girls. We either have 1000 hair ties or none. There’s no in between.

Best I can tell hair ties seem to live in the filter of the washing machine. Definitely recommend checking there! 😂

I was about to say the same thing. Mine seem
to gravitate there, alongside glasses cleaners.

They have left to build a colony with Tupperware lids!

When DD started reception I used to buy a pack of 10+ hair bobbles every term for years - we have none of those hair bobbles now, however 3 times recently my washer-dryer has ground to a halt because a hair bobble (which I do not recognise) has got tangled up in the filter.
