just said to dh if we were minted then we would probably have a whole village of the playhouses from the windmill to the market see more play value in those though comapred to the bed

greenelizabeth · 12/06/2008 21:40

I am a former spice girl in real life, I am not going to say which one. I bought this bed for my daughter.

Are you all being serious? If I had all the money in the world, I wouldn't indulge my children with this over-priced crap.

georgiemama · 12/06/2008 21:47

I love the plantation house though, despite myself. Would be wasted on a child, could have it in our bedroom (not that it is big enough) and pretend to be Scarlett and Rhett!!

EachPeachPearMum · 12/06/2008 21:51

The pumpkin is imported from England, so I guess that adds to the price?

WillburyNibbleQC · 12/06/2008 21:51

You'd have to buy some land, plonk the carriage bed on it, then build a house round it.

Dynamicnanny · 12/06/2008 21:53

Aaah can you imagine how fabulous a newborn will feel when sleeping in here

EachPeachPearMum · 12/06/2008 21:53

Actually, whilst being twee, that windmill is kind of cool! I think I would have loved it as a child!

oranges · 12/06/2008 21:54

i'd just live in it myself.

KaySamuels · 12/06/2008 21:54

Bleurgh!

These items remind me of everything that is wrong with childhood now.

Children should be able to use their maginations, have rugged tree houses and tents made of patchwork blankets.

They all seem really vile and tasteless and make me want to puke a little.

Even if I had all the money in the world I wouldn't buy any of them.

Hulababy · 12/06/2008 21:58

I have seen those playhouses up close. They had some just like them on display at one of the shopping centres last time we went to Florida. DD was They were amazingly detailed, and fully furnished too, with light and heat options available. I think DD would have moved out of her room and lived in the playhouse given half a chance!

georgiemama · 12/06/2008 21:58

I'm going to give up the day job and open a mumtrepreneur shop called c*nting butcakes.

What do you all think?

That'll do for me, kid

Only a wanker would buy from a website called PoshTots. A dyed-in-the-wool wanker.

greenelizabeth · 12/06/2008 22:01

Brilliant! I'd buy one of your butcakes, just cos you're not smug and wearing a kath kidston apron.

I'd love it if your marketing blurb was two kids fighting in the background while you had raw cake mixture in your hair and a crappy tracksuit on and a fridge with loads of reminders on it, all ringed in red.

LittleBella · 12/06/2008 22:03

pmsl at the thought of this crap being in an adult's bedroom as an aid to sexual relations

greenelizabeth · 12/06/2008 22:03

Seriously, there's a real gap in the market for this "i'm not perfect but so fcuking what?" kind of merchandise. I was chatting to Georgiemama on mumsnet and "it just clicked", "it just felt so right", so we robbed a bank and poured all the money in to setting up a crystal meths lab in Eltham..

We have not looked back.

EachPeachPearMum · 12/06/2008 22:04

? did I miss a post littlebella?

LittleBella · 12/06/2008 22:07
