How do you keep up with all the kid-related phone calls?

I’m honestly drowning in all the phone calls for my DC at the moment.
School, GP, prescriptions, SEN stuff, random admin… every single thing seems to require a bloody phone call during work hours.
Half the time I sit on hold and then have to hang up because I’ve got a meeting starting.
Does everyone else deal with this constant stream of calls or is it just me being useless?
How do you actually stay on top of it?

Literally no one calls me. The only time I ever get a call is the 2-3 times a year one of them gets a fever and I have to go collect them from school.

That said, mine aren’t receiving any medical care, not on any prescriptions, and the only communication from school is the newsletter and once a year each when I have to book parents evening.

I don't get that many calls. I have had about 3 SEN calls this term, but all scheduled in, so I could block out my diary.

Phone calls are rare in this house too. And one of mine does have a medical issue.
Almost everything is dealt with by email.
