19 month old grumpy/miserable a lot of the time. Losing my mind!

My recently turned 19 month old whines and hum’s from the moment she wakes up. Worse in the morning and when at home.

The noises are relentless all day. unhappy unless outside but even then, doesn’t want to walk or be in the pram (just carried).

Any ideas why or things i can try to improve it? She sleeps 7pm-5:30am usually but keep in cot until 6 (unless crying). She has a 1.5-2hr nap. So don’t think it’s a tiredness issue?

My son did this, it was teething

How much do they speak? Mine is the same age as yours and the grunting has got a lot better in the last three-four weeks. Toddler is now saying yeah, no, water, more, cuddles, bubbles and stickers (not very clearly for some of those!) and actually being able to ask and get what they - or for me to give them a choice and they pick with words and pointing - seems to have helped with some of the existential toddler woe. Although they can now ask for things & we have to say no some of the time which causes tantrums anyway!

are they bored ? Need more stimulation ? They are getting up very early but then that might suit your schedule ?
