Travel advice with children on holiday (taxis/uber)

We’re taking my 2 children to Portugal next summer (will be 23 month old and 5.5 year old)
I’m just wondering what do people do when it comes to taxis/uber, or even transfers from the airport.
We’re staying in a villa about 40mins from the airport so will be needing a transfer (there’s 10 of us going as a family) so we’re not hiring a car as we would actually need a mini van.
The villa is too far to walk from the local town so we would need daily taxis or Ubers.
Should I buy a travel car set for my younger child?
just wondering what everyone does.

We got the bus to town and coach transfers. We avoid places where you need to travel by car for this exact reason. Personally I'm not prepared to accept a lower standard of safety with either no car seat or a crap one for the sake of a holiday, so we work around that.

That’s exactly my feelings I know in the UK you don’t need a car seat but regardless of this it’s a major safety issue that I don’t feel comfortable with.
I have been googling and there is a maxi cosi car seat that folds down. I think my 5.5yr old is ok with an inflatable booster and she’s tall for her age.
just hate the thought of lugging a car seat around all day but I think it’s the only option
