How to dress baby in this winter

My 5 month old is waking up quite frequently in the night. More worse than the newborn phase 😞
Wondering if it's because of the cold weather. How to dress baby during day and night during this winter ? I set my room temperature to 20c but the place he sleeps sometimes drops to 17.5c sometimes

Please suggest proper clothing for 17c to 20c 🙏
I have 2.5tog and all weather(1.5 to 2.5tog) sleeping bag.

Vest, sleepsuit and 2.5tog bag

Mine would be in vest, sleepsuit and 2.5 tog bag.

Our bedroom is usually 18-20° and baby is in a vest and fleece sleepsuit with a blanket.

Part of my routine is going for a walk about 30 mins after we wake up, and I've found it easier to keep the fleece sleepsuit on and pop a pram suit over the top in this weather.

I do have a 2.5 tog sleepbag, but I'm saving that for when the temperature drops below 16° overnight, but I have no idea what he would wear underneath as I don't have any non fleece sleepsuits!

During the day I go by the one more layer than me rule.

So today he was in a vest, long sleeve bodysuit and some leggings. (I was in jeans and a top). When I felt chilly and put a cardi on, I put a cardi on him as well. Similar with socks, I'm usually barefoot in the rooms with carpet like the living room, but I put socks on myself and on babe when we are in the kitchen/dining room as I have tiled floors.

Yes mine slept in vest sleep suit and 2.5 tog sleep bag. In a colder room than yours. She’s now 21 at uni and probably wears rags on a night out so I woudnt worry 😀

My LO’s hands were freezing this morning at the 5.30am feed! LO was in a long sleeved vest and 2.5 tog sleeping bag.

Tonight I’ve put them in a long sleeved body suit and leggings with a 2.5 tog sleeping bag.

I didn’t think babies were advised to sleep
in fleece sleepsuits?
