To keep them occupied. Need ideas as he bores easily.
I usually take him out to the park, beach or woods but with the weather changing I’m looking for indoor inspiration.

Get an all in one puddle suit thing and take him out whenever it’s not tipping down. Playgrounds are good as the floor is often padded and cleanish, and there are other kids to watch. Also head to indoor places like any (child tolerant) shops, library rhyme time, swimming pool occasionally? Buggy/carrier walks where he can people watch or nature watch. Honestly if you have an easily bored child there just isn’t enough to do at home without going out.

At home ideas

Water pen colouring mat
Indoor obstacle course
Get him to “help” with the laundry
Bathtime, lots of bathtime
Messy play if you can face it
Mini disco
Baby massage if he likes it

Do get good rain/cold gear and try to still get outside at least a bit. We did various playgroups/stay and play type things in church halls. Swimming if you’ve just the one.

Good question 😂

I involve my 11mo in as many household jobs as I can - washing, sweeping up / hoovering, decluttering, putting clothes away, time in the kitchen, all that.

We go out to the woods with DC in a rain suit - not walking yet though. We also do church hall baby groups. Trips to the supermarket, library and the shops 😂

We do lots of reading and playing with books - making obstacle courses out of furniture - dancing to music - playing the piano and singing - visits from Granny - climbing in boxes / washing basket etc.

Beach sounds great, we’re a bit far inland but I’d love to do that regularly with DC!
