Toddler wetting through nappy every night

DS is 2.5, potty trained in the day and only in a nappy overnight.
Every morning his sleep is being disrupted because he wakes up soaking wet.

For info:
• He always does a wee before bed
• We cut out bedtime milk, but it hasn’t helped
• He wears size 7 Pampers Pull Ups

I’ve been looking into what else I could try, such as:
1. Doubling up on pull ups (but not sure if that would actually stop expansion?)
2. Adding a reusable hemp booster pad into the disposable pull up

Has anyone tried these or found another solution? It’s upsetting him when he wakes and sometimes he can’t get back to sleep.

Any suggestions welcome!

It will be the pullups. They are not great for leakage especially if your son has skinny legs. I would go back to nappies. Pullups are more expensive anyway and if he isn't waking up to try the loo in the night then they are pointless.
