Formula for reflux fussy breast fed baby or probiotic drops?

My 10 week old spits up most feeds and is quite fussy, but he is gaining weight well and sleeps okay and poos probably too regularly. I am wondering whether to go straight to trying comfort milk with combo feeding? I have tried aptamil for one night feed and I think it made his symptoms worse. I’ve also heard of probiotic drops, not sure if that would be a good idea? The dr says his symptoms aren’t quite severe enough to justify medication that would have side effects and can be hard to administer with breast feeding and I’m inclined to agree.

Have you considered they make have an allergy to milk protein?? Which includes breast milk. So you need to see a Peadiatric allergist

Well done OP for trying with BF... Try to attend a BF group or have a referral to infant feeding team via health visitor to have latch checked. Consider consulting an IBCLC, check out resources on Instagram from Olivia Hinge and Lucy Webber

Both my BF babies have been like this - im talking full outfit chnages due to the amount of sick most times and often a war with gass but DC2 burped alot easier than DC1. They were the same as your baby though both put weight on just fine and HV etc not worried, its just that babies this young have undeveloped muscles in the gullet which means spit up happens and alot! I used to have to sit with DC1 upright for 30 mins after every feed to keep it down. Formula feeding wont help with this (I know alot of friends who have formula fed with the same issue). Some babies are just sick alot (I was lucky enough to have two 😅) but as they get older it gets better.
