Newborn baby - how to dress advice

Hello all!

I’ve just had my first baby girl weight 6 pounds. I’m struggling o how to mow how to dress her in the night! We have a grog egg so have been looking at that but still struggling!

she seems to love being swaddled at night is a celluar blanket okay? Would tonight example be a nappy, sleepsuit then a celluar blanket swaddle or a sleeping tog 1.0? I’ve ordered a love to dream one for her small weight size

any advice really appreciated! Thank you xx

Have a look at the lullaby trust website, they have lots of good info on how much to dress and temperatures etc.

Check the sleeping bag carefully - lots can’t be used until they are 4kg (my daughter was 6lb 10oz). I used a long sleeved vest (nov baby), sleep suit, sheet and blanket tucked in.
A good rule of thumb is one more layer than you - if you would wear pyjamas then add a vest. I found a gro egg was reassuring.

congratulations!

Hi OP

We're just moving this over to parenting - we think you're likely to get more advice over on that topic! Flowers

We used the Love to Dream swaddles and used the temperature guide on their website. Mine would always kick blankets off.
