I'm just curious to know what other Mums get up to - I have loads of Mum friends who are a real mix of very routine and structured (ie weekly cleaning / cooking schedule) but also lots who are out and about with friends all the time. I think I'm more the former but it's more chaotic than structured 😅

I have a tendency to measure the value of my day by how many things I've ticked off my list, which I'm trying to let go of, but it's still interesting to know how other Mums sort their days.

Here's my list of (purposefully very granular as it makes me feel better 😆)

  • DC2 (6 months) prepped pancakes for breakfast (for DH to give)
  • DC1 (2yo) nursery drop off whilst DH waited for delivery with DC2
  • Drop DH off at work
  • Set up bank accounts for kids online
  • Sorted DC2 wardrobe / drawers into storage, charity and Vinted piles
  • Sorted my wardrobe / drawers into maternity & Vinted piles
  • Booked onto monthly fitness classes
  • Sorted online returns
  • Ordered vests & basics for kids
  • DC2 meal prepped & lunch and created almighty mess
  • Emptied & refilled dishwasher
  • Wiped down kitchen & hoovered
  • x2 loads of washing & drying
  • Washing away

Still to do:

  • Put last load of washing away
  • 1hr walk (need to get my steps in!)
  • Presents for friends babies (have got them just need to write card & wrap)

Other days we have classes to go to, but sometimes enjoy a day at home ticking things off!

xx

Is your child with you when you do all of that? Or during nap times?

I get children up/ dressed. Husband takes older child to nursery on the way to work.

8-9 I play with our 10 month old, give him breakfast, tidy kitchen/ do dishwasher.

9-10 baby naps, I do a quick tidy, have a bath,
get ready

10am change nappy/ give bottle

10.15 head to friends house- play, coffee, chats

1215 back home baby lunch and a little play

1pm baby nap. Have my own lunch, tidy round, make some calls, watch tv, clean bottles

I will…
230 baby up- feed, get ready to go out. Head to swimming class

430 pick up older child

5pm baby and child eat tea

6pm husband home

630 bath/bed
